St. James & St. Maria

St. James & St. Maria

June brings sunshine and memories here at Holly's Hobbies, which is why our saint(s) of the month are surrounding us with double the love.

For June's model saints we have chosen St. James the Great and St. Maria Goretti. With the passing of two young souls, prayers at Holly's Hobbies are often sent through St. James and St. Maria.

As the family vacations, ballpark days, and weekend sunsets are in full swing, we can't help but sit back and begin to truly appreciated the people in life that help make these moments possible. On June 16th, the men who lead our family with strength, faith, and wisdom will be honored through the celebration of Father's Day.

"Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers." Proverbs 17:6

With St. James being the patron saint of fishermen and St. Maria being the patron saint of youth, purity, and forgiveness, the two have a beautiful and evident tie to one another. Family

A father goes out into the world to provide for his family and protects the youth of the lineage. And, in this discernment he protects life. In the same way, we pray that all life is protected, admired, and never taken for granted.

With hopes that these prayers reach our angels, we pray together.

Lord,

Always remind us to appreciate the people who support us through life. Allow us to open our hearts to lean on others and bask in the moments we have with the rocks of family. And, lastly an expression of gratitude to all the father's who bring life into this world and help protect it.

Be thankful, and go use your gift.

In memory of Paxton James and Maria Rose, angel babies of the Bertrand family. June 28th.
